Position/job title: Embedded Control Systems Engineer
We are seeking for an exceptional profile with demonstrable technical background in motion control and embedded software. The role is to transform requirements into fully functional controls for our products and solutions as well as in scaling up our embedded system’s capabilities. In addition to growing together with us in rapidly expanding medical rehabilitation sector, playing this instrumental role would make contribution to society by driving the realizations of innovative robotics as well as artificial intelligence rehabilitation products and solutions.
Role And Responsibility
- Design, implement, validate, and optimize the motion controls of our robots.
- Analyse and implement methods to characterize the dynamics of robotic systems.
- Design, implement, debug, and refactor the firmware of robotic systems.
- Develop scalable validation methods of robots’ motion control and firmware to assure functionality and safety.
- Analyze the operation data of the robot and its interaction with the patients to improve the control design.
- Research new methods and algorithms for robotic rehabilitation and human-robot interaction.
- Scale up the capabilities and features of our robot’s embedded systems.
- Collaborate with software team to develop and improve hardware-software integration.
Requirements
- At least bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, control, mechatronics, robotics, or related fields.
- Experience in implementing impedance/admittance control.
- Demonstrated experience in electromechanical system design, integration, characterization, and debugging.
- Experience in embedded system designs and firmware development using C/C++.
- Experience in implementing OTA.
- The following competences are advantageous.
- Experience with C#.
- Familiar with STM32 MCU and development/debugging tool chain.
- Familiar with general buses including I2C, SPI, UART and USB.
- Experience in PCB design.
- Familiar with ISO13485 and IEC 62304 design process.
- Experience with at least one mathematical analysis tool, preferably Matlab or Python.
- Experience with rehabilitation robotics or development of rehabilitation equipment.
- Experience with physical human-robot interaction.
- Understanding of biomechanics and human sensorimotor control.
